On 27th September 2024, the operations team of the Ejisu Municipality, led by the Deputy Director of NADMO, Mr. Benard Nkrabeah, visited Okese 106.5 FM to engage the public on disaster risk reduction measures, with a special focus on the rainy season. The team provided crucial information on how individuals can protect themselves and their properties during heavy rains, emphasizing preparedness and caution.
In addition, the public was strongly urged to report anyone engaging in the illegal act of filling waterlogged areas with sand or constructing waterways, as these activities exacerbate flooding risks. Citizens were encouraged to promptly inform the NADMO office of such practices to help mitigate future disasters.
