Ejisu MCE pays a courtesy call on Nananom of various towns in the Municipality

Ejisu Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Samuel Oduro Frimpong has paid a courtesy call on the chiefs and traditional authorities of the various towns in the municipality to officially introduce himself and seek their advice and blessings.

The two-days visit forms part of the MCE’s familiarization tour in the municipality on respectively at the various palaces of the leaders.

Addressing the chiefs, Hon Samuel Oduro Frimpong acknowledged the authority of the traditional councils and pointed that, his administration can only be effective and successful if the leaders rally behind him to offer unconditional support and advice in all spheres to ensure the development of the municipality.

He maintained that his vision is to see the development of Ejisu through a peaceful coexistence between the traditional councils and the assembly.  Acknowledging the coordinating director, the Assembly man and his unit committee members, the team of technocrats, the MCE was optimistic that his administration would be legendary.

Some Traditonal Authorities stated that it will be very prudent for all communities to set up community watch parties popularly called volunteer groups to assist the police to safe guard the various communities and reduce criminal activities. He pledged his undying support in the fight against crime but insisted that he can only be successful with the help of the communities.

The traditional leaders of the communities visited expressed their appreciation to the MCE for the respect accorded them and offered their unflinching support to the MCE and the assembly as a whole. They called on the Hon. Member to build on what his predecessors started and welcome everyone with opened arms.

In all the communities visited, Nananom had some challenges confronting them as a people, notable among them were, poor road networks, inadequate lighting systems, improper waste management, inadequate infrastructure.

The communities visited included Kwamo, Fumesua, Ejisu, Asaman, Akokoamon, Tikrom, Baworo, Asotwe, Bonwire, Okyerekrom, Adako Jachie, Kokobra. There are some communities  the Hon. MCE  is yet to pay a courtesy call on them.
