The Green Ghana Day held at the Ejisu Municipal Assembly was officially launched at its forecourt. The event was attended by various important figures, including the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon S.O Frimpong, Mr Andy Osei Okrah, Director of the Forestry Commission Training Center, the Coordinating Director of the assembly, the Presiding Member, the Municipal Director of Education, commanders of the security agencies, heads of departments of the assembly, Nananom (traditional leaders), pupils, traders, and more.
During the event, Hon S.O Frimpong, the Municipal Chief Executive, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of tree planting in the communities. He urged the attendees and the general public to actively participate in planting trees as a way to enhance the cleanliness and beauty of the environment. By planting trees, they would contribute to preserving the natural ecosystem and mitigating the effects of deforestation.
