In line with regulation 17(3) of the Public financial Management regulation, 2019 L.T 2378, Regional budget hearing are being organized for all MMDAs. This afford the RC with support from National Technical Working tears the opportunity to review the MMDA revenue and expenditure performance for 2023 and targets set for 2924 – 2027 in line with Budget preparation guidelines and Government policy priorities and programmes.
The hearing came off on the 13th October, 2023 at Ejisu. The participating Assemblies included Asante Akim North, Asante Akim South, Bosome Freho and host assembly as Ejisu Municipal Assembly. The draft budget was presented by Mr. J.T. Ababio on behalf of MCE. Deputy Budget Analyst Louis Okyere went into detail on the Municipal financial performance. As part of the performance he presented information on some key achievement.
